Huawei working on a top-secret mobile OS

Huawei working on a top-secret mobile OS

A lot has been said about Huawei’s largest challenge in the mobile business. It is still unclear what the expectations of the top Chinese OEM will be as there are dissimilar opinions about the topic. Google’s conclusion to cut ties with the company has made other US firms to also stop businesses with the phone maker. Interestingly, some associations and groups have been overturning their previous decisions. You may not concur that Huawei is a victim of US bullying but the opportunity other businesses will be exaggerated is big.

A lot of companies depend on Huawei. Google has previously made it recognized to the Trump management that completely ending ties with Huawei will sanction the latter to make its own OS. Having its own platform is a proper option but this may expose consumers to larger national security risks.

The Ark OS is a possible substitute for Android. The US trade ban is causing businesses to think twice about their participation with Huawei. Huawei seems to be unfazed but we suppose it is previously making major steps and changes in business strategy.

Huawei’s own operating system is said to be a product of an old project the executives in progress long before and not just from the previous year. A source is saying the senior management is previously revisiting the plans but under tight secrecy.

We may not be squeezing much information today but we consider the whole mobile industry is very interested in this innovative and new OS. Huawei is also said to have started inviting developers and publishers to carry their apps and games to the App Gallery.

We’re taking things with a touch of salt but it’s highly probable Huawei is all set with the backup systems. It’s not a big tech company for nothing. It won’t be the No. 2 in the world today, overtaking Apple, if the people behind it are not smart.

It’s not apparent if the OS will be based on Android but we don’t think Huawei will take that way moving forward. If Google doesn’t want Huawei to access Android, then maybe it will be best for the Chinese tech giant to come up with its own. Of course, there will be main hurdles but we recognize in tech, everything has a way around.

OnePlus 7 Pro camera performance can, must still improve

OnePlus 7 Pro camera performance can, must still improve
OnePlus 7 Pro

OnePlus has been boasting regarding the OnePlus 7 Pro from Day 1. Even ahead of its official launch, we’ve been made to believe of the high-quality performance of the three back cameras. A teaser video confirmed the triple back cameras and yes, the Pro variant did turn up with three shooters. Camera zoom samples were also revealed off. The latest OnePlus 7 Pro has previously reached DxOMark and great news, the phone scored 111 which makes it in second place, behind the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G and the Huawei P30 Pro.

The smartphone’s camera performance is great but not lots of people may agree. Our hands-on knowledge is not enough for us to come out with a comprehensive analysis and close but the device can capture decent photos. Hardware may not be the most excellent but the software can do a lot to the images.

OnePlus may consider fine-tuning or tweaking the software a bit. It’s not forever hardware when it comes to gadgets. The software must for all time be updated because it’s the one doing the most work behind the scenes.

Many have previously tried the OnePlus 7 Pro. Some are proverb they don’t have any issues with the camera or video while others are not contented with the results.

A thread on Reddit presents the truth of OnePlus 7 Pro owners. The “camera sucks” according to some people who have previously tried it. Battery life is normal so it’s not really the most excellent if you’re forever looking for extra power.

OnePlus doesn’t settle so it posted a reply on the thread. Jimmy Z, OxygenOS Staff Member, said the camera team is working to examine and fix the existing issues. System updates will be prepared by next week and they are anticipated to improve OnePlus 7 Pro camera superiority significantly.

OnePlus will “never settle” in hearing the feedback and suggestion of the people and reviewers. The HDR effect and Nightscape mode will also be improved. OnePlus just require more time in making fixes and improvements.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus hands-on image leaked

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus hands-on image leaked
Samsung Galaxy S10

This is the Samsung Galaxy S10. It’s truly the Plus variant because of the extended hole for the dual selfie cameras. Mobile Fun posted this hands-on video of the smartphone so we suppose it is true. The mobile accessories website has been our consistent source for future products of imminent smartphones and other mobile gadgets. We’ve lost count of how numerous protective phone cases we’ve featured earlier than official announcements. The Mobile Fun phone case we see here in the video also shows a round hole located in the lower middle of the screen. Obviously, this is for the under-display fingerprint sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus phone here looks really big. We’re probably looking at a 6.4-inch screen as per a new leak.

The phone appears too big for one hand of the person holding it. It is predictable the Galaxy S10 will be a bit smaller than this.

Here’s what we recognize so far about the specs and features of the Samsung Galaxy S10+ (S10 Plus): a 6.4-inch screen, 3040 x 1440 pixel resolution, triple back cameras (12 f/2.4 45-degree telephoto, 12MP f/1.5 77-degree regular, and a 16MP f/2.2 fixed-focus 123-degree ultra-wide), double selfie cameras, USB Type C, 4100mAh battery, HDR10+ playback, AKG speakers, and AKG headphones. The Galaxy S10+ may have as much as 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage space capacity.

The following are special camera features we listed yesterday: Super stable video recording, Full-HD Super Slow Motion, HDR10+ video recording, Flaw Detection improvement, Best Shot, and Scene Optimizer with Ultra Wide Angle support.

Moto Z4 Play could come with 48MP camera, in-display fingerprint scanner: Leaked Report

Moto Z4 Play could come with 48MP camera, in-display fingerprint scanner: Leaked Report
Moto Z4 Play

Moto Z4 Play has been rumoured for a while, and currently 91 Mobiles claims to have obtained the full technical specifications of the imminent smartphone. Citing anonymous sources, the tech site claims that the Moto Z4 Play will arrive with a 48MP camera and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

According to the publication, Motorola Moto Z4 Play will feature a 6.22-inch display with a U-shaped notch above the screen, like to the Essential Phone. The smartphone will also allegedly feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, making Motorola’s first phone to carry the next-generation fingerprint scanner.

The leak also revealed that the phone will be motorized by a Snapdragon 675 processor coupled with either 4GB RAM/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage space. It also has a 3,600mAh battery and will run on stock Android 9.0 Pie.

Perhaps the main highlight of the Moto Z4 Play will be its cameras. According to the reveal, the Moto Z4 Play is anticipated to come with a 48MP camera sensor, just like the Redmi Note 7 and Honor View20. However, Lenovo-owned Motorola will be using Q Technology’s S5KGMSIP sensor instead of the Samsung ISOCELL GM1 48MP sensor or the Sony IMX586 sensor.

There’s no information about its price or availability, but the publication expects the Moto Z4 Play could be announced sometime in the first half of 2019. The Moto Z4 Play will be one of the devices in the upcoming’s Moto Z4 series; the other handset will the flagship Moto Z4 with a Snapdragon 855 processor. Both the phones are anticipated to support the company’s snap-on accessories, recognized as Moto Mods.

Motorola’s next big launch is allegedly planned to take place on February 7 in Brazil, where we might get to see the launch of the Moto G7 series.

Huawei foldable phone image renders obtainable for scrutiny

Huawei foldable phone image renders obtainable for scrutiny

So much has been said about the forthcoming foldable phone from Huawei. To be honest, we’ve been focusing our concentration on the Samsung Galaxy X foldable phone. It’s been a hot subject for years now but the last information we heard about the Huawei foldable phone, that it will previously come prepared with 5G connectivity, has made us more thrilled. The top Chinese OEM wants to get ahead of Samsung and looks like it’s achievable with its own foldable phone offering.

Huawei will launch its first foldable smartphone this month at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2019). The official market release will be approximately April or May.

After numerous leaks and information, LetsGoDigital has managed to come up with its own set of 3D image renders of the Huawei foldable phone.

Huawei previously has a working prototype but what we have here are only renders. Huawei is in the last stages of expansion and testing and we can anticipate it some three weeks from today.
We have a feeling Samsung and Huawei will battle closely for the title of THE foldable phone to beat. Huawei previously has an edge: 5G. We’re expecting these foldable phones will be luxurious at over $1,500. Let’s wait and see how Huawei and Samsung will battle for the crown.

HMD brings Nokia phones to Verizon, Cricket Wireless, and Rogers

HMD brings Nokia phones to Verizon, Cricket Wireless, and Rogers

Nokia 3.1 Plus

HMD Global has announced latest deals with Cricket Wireless, Verizon, and Canada’s Rogers wireless providers. Under these deals, HMD will offer Nokia phones in the US and Canada straight through carriers, kicking things off with the Nokia 3.1 Plus for Cricket and Nokia 2 V for Verizon. The carrier partnership joins HMD’s online sales, which have taken place through Amazon, Best Buy, and choose other partners.

HMD calls these new partnerships “a usual next step” for its Nokia brand, one that’ll allow customers in the US and Canada to purchase one of the handsets directly from their carrier rather than through an online seller like Amazon. As the division of these deals, HMD has taken the hush-up off two Nokia phones for Verizon and Cricket.

The first, the Nokia 3.1 Plus, is a 5.99-inch HD+ 18:9 handset with a 3500mAh battery, back dual camera featuring 13MP and 5MP sensors, an 8MP front-facing camera, Snapdragon 439 mobile platform, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of ROM, and, of course, Android. The handset is obtainable through Cricket Wireless stores and website for $159.99 USD starting today.

The combination that model is the Nokia 2 V, the first Nokia phone to be accessible on Verizon. This model features a 5.5-inch “HD” display paired with a 4,000mAh battery, dual front-facing speakers, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 64-bit mobile platform.

The model similarly features a 5-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel back camera, 8GB of storage, and a microSD card slot withholds up for card capacities up to 128GB in silver and blue colors. This model will be obtainable through Verizon’s website and stores starting on January 31, but a price hasn’t been exposed yet.

Samsung Galaxy S10+ camera specifications will be more powerful, see here

Samsung Galaxy S10+ camera specifications will be more powerful, see here

Samsung Galaxy S10 is all set to launch on February 20 this year. The tenth anniversary Galaxy phone from Samsung will probably have advanced camera technology on the orders of Lee Jae-Yong, the heir obvious of the company, as reported by Korean Herald.

The report quotes a Samsung executive saying that the company is working on improving camera functions for smartphone photography that has been measured a weakness on the accessible Galaxy phones.

Commenting on why Lee Jae-Yong made such a conclusion, the official said that previous year Lee visited Europe where he stopped up by a smartphone retailer. He asked the personal preferences of a store employee, who favored iPhone over Galaxy citing improved camera quality of the former.

“The issue was about how the excellence of pictures taken on the Galaxy smartphones was felt by individual users,” the Samsung administrator said notes the report.

“Some users say Galaxy pictures are much additional vivid, which is a reason why they prefer Galaxy phones, but some others say such brightness causes fatigue in eyes, describing the colors as being too sharp,” he added.

The official also said that iPhone seems better in creating sentimental photographs that are related to the eyes, so Samsung is seeking to get better with Galaxy in this area. With Samsung Galaxy phones, the pictures are much more soaked, and if the report is true, the company could change all of this. This would engage not just hardware tweaks, but also software tweaks.

The new sensor in Samsung Galaxy S10
There are speculations that Samsung could adopt the most recent image sensor branded ‘ISOCELL Slim 3T2’. The 5.1 mm image sensor is the smallest for a smartphone camera module. It can deliver 20MP declaration for both rear and front cameras.

The report mentions the timing of mass manufacture of these sensors coinciding with the launch of Samsung Galaxy S10 as the basis for its speculation. Samsung is predictable to introduce triple cameras on the Galaxy S10+ variant, while the Galaxy S10 5G and Bolt variant could have quad-cameras at the back. The Galaxy S10 series could also sport dual-front cameras with the Infinity-o-display.

Samsung Galaxy S10 specifications
At the launch event, Samsung is predictable to launch three variants of Samsung Galaxy S10, namely S10 Lite, S10, and S10 Plus. All variants of the phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor for the US market or the Exynos 9820 processor for markets like India.

The 5.8-inch 2K+ SAMOLED display of Galaxy S10 and 6.3-inch SAMOLED display of Galaxy S10 Plus will have a cut-out or hole for the frontage camera. Samsung is calling this an Infinity-o display.

A Galaxy S10 Lite will also be introduced with a flat display, single back, and front camera. The Galaxy S10 will also see the company adding up an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Galaxy S10 5G and Bolt variant will come with 5G-ready capabilities and could be introduced later.

Galaxy S10 could include “swipe to selfie” feature

Galaxy S10 could have “swipe to selfie” feature

One of the highlights of Samsung’s imminent flagship will possibly also be it is most contentious. Never mind the notch, Samsung has moved out with a punch hole for the Galaxy S10 instead. Of course, it will do the whole thing it can to sell that feature, or misfeature if you will, like a spinning light or glow to indicate its attendance and activity. It turns out, it might also have another feature that apparently makes use of that dead space to immediately launch the camera app into Selfie mode.

This information isn’t exactly a leak, even though it comes from the @Ice universe. It is, instead, more conjecture based on such a feature that previously exists on the Galaxy A8s. And since that is Samsung first punch hole phone and supposed to be the Galaxy S10’s precursor, chances are the latter will have it too.

Although the hole for that camera is dead when it comes to pixels, it apparently still touches responsive. A less known feature of the Galaxy A8s is that you can swipe down from that punch hole to launch the camera app instantly in Selfie mode.

It’s definitely an expedient trick but doesn’t expect to execute it with one hand only. Depending on how you hold your phone, you’ll have to stretch out your thumb to perform the gesture. At best, it reduces what would usually be at least two to three taps into one swipe.

Is it leaving to help sell the punch hole design? Probably not. This hidden feature is less of justification and more of a compensation. But just as with the notch, perhaps users will finally get used to it and mentally become blind to it, particularly if more and more smartphone makers adopt the same design.

These latest LG G8 ThinQ renders will look extremely very familiar

These latest LG G8 ThinQ renders will look extremely very familiar

Trusted smartphone leaker @OnLeaks just shared a set of renders supposedly depicting the imminent LG G8 ThinQ over at 91Mobiles.

If you just took a quick glance, you would be forgiven in thoughts that these are just the renders for the LG G7 ThinQ, since they look extraordinarily the same. If you provide a closer inspection, you can see there are absolutely some differences. However, from an overall design point-of-view, the LG G8 ThinQ looks like it will be more of the similar from LG.

Just for the sake of comparison, here are the leaked renders of the LG G7 ThinQ from previous year:

Let’s start with the similarity. The front has a big ol’ notch at the top, the rear fingerprint scanner is in comparatively the same place, there’s a dual camera system, a glossy finish, and a massive LG logo at the back.

Oh yeah, and the headphone jack is still there, which is surely nice.

The only major differences we notice between last year’s G7 and these leaked renders is that the dual camera arrangement is now horizontally-aligned and the front-facing camera appears to have been upgraded to a dual-lens configuration. Those are both welcome changes, for certain, but is that actually all it takes to move from G7 to G8?

Unfortunately, it appears any LG fans who were looking for a triple-lens camera (as was on the LG V40 ThinQ), an in-display fingerprint scanner, a waterdrop notch, slope colors, or any of the other design features trending right now in the smartphone industry will be dissatisfied with these renders.

There’s still the possibility, though, that this G8 could feature an optional second screen addition. If that’s the case, LG could be relying solely on that innovation to push sales.

What do you think? Is LG making a misfire here, or are you still thrilled for the LG G8 ThinQ? Let us distinguish in the comments.
